#HCTBRIDE

Amy & Brandon

Amy & Brandon met through a mutual friend shortly after college. They dated for several months until Brandon relocated for work, causing them to momentarily lose touch.

Seven years later, Brandon moved back to Chicago. Without prior knowledge, both Amy & Brandon signed up for the same softball league! On the first game, they crossed paths once again. After a flirtatious encounter, Brandon asked Amy out on a date. It is no doubt that these two were meant to be together!

Brandon had sneakily planned out a beautiful engagement for Amy. He decorated their apartment with balloons, rose petals, streamers, pictures, and ring pops. How thoughtful! He also hid the photographers from Amy, who had no clue that her life was about to change.

When she arrived home, in attempt to distract her from what was about to happen, Amy’s parents made a fake real estate call while a friend assisted by holding the door.

Brandon then popped the question and the photographers recorded the proposal.

SHE SAID YES!!!

But wait...there's more!

After composing themselves and calling a ton of friends and family, Brandon and Amy went with their families to Lottie's Bar, Amy's favorite KU bar. Amy’s friend set up a section for them to sit and watch the game and celebrate and when they arrived, many of their other friends were congregated in that section ready to congratulate and celebrate with them. Amy had a smile pasted across her face as she was still red from the first surprise.

Hold on...there's still more? You gotta be kidding me!

As Amy stood there hugging friends, a circle formed around her and two people came upstairs from the basement with a bottle of champagne. Tracy and Amanda, two of Amy's closest friends from college had flown in from Minneapolis and Dallas and worked with Brandon to surprise their friend on her big day. What a special and memorable proposal!

Amy looked absolutely stunning in her MoriLee gown, “Marissa”. This organza ballgown features a flounced skirt with horsehair trim.

My dress shopping experience was fantastic. I worked with Diane and she was amazing. She let me try on any and all styles I wanted to and gave her opinion on what would work best for my body. She was a doll and I am SO incredibly happy with my dress!

Aria & Anthony

Hope you all had a safe and relaxing Labor Day!  We would love to share our next featured #HCTBride  Aria's story.

Aria and Anthony were set up on a blind date by their grandparents (how special!). Both grandparents are friends and, upon first meeting Anthony’s grandma at brunch, she talked to Aria a lot about her grandson and how perfect she’d be for him. Afterwards, Aria and Anthony agreed to go on a date. They got drinks and apps downtown and ended up talking for over 3 hours! Anthony then surprised her on an actual first date where they saw a film and had breakfast for dinner at Little Goat Diner. 3 years later, he proposed, and they decided to run away to their favorite place for their wedding day. They got married in Chiesa di Ognissanti in Florence and had the reception at a castle in the hills of Tuscany. It was a truly magical day!

KRISTEN & BRANDON

Thank you for all of the submissions, it is so wonderful to hear your stories and see your beautiful pictures! Keep them coming, we are working hard to get all of your stories on here!

Next up on our featured #HCTBrides is Kristen.

Kristen met her husband Brandon on a dating app.  It was the right circumstances that led Kristen to Brandon.  Kristen was supposed to be heading out of town and was planning on disconnecting from the online dating world.  However, her flight got cancelled and she wasn't able to fly out for the next 3 days!  When Kristen returned back to her apartment, she found Brandon's profile and messaged him.  The two hit it off instantly!  She left for her family trip and while in Colorado, the pair exchanged messages the whole duration of her trip.  As soon as she returned, she and Brandon got together.  The rest is history! A year and a half later, Brandon asked Kristen's father for permission for his daughter's hand in marriage.  Months before the proposal, Brandon had received Kristen's grandmother's wedding ring stone from her father.  How sweet!  The couple planned their wedding at a sentimental location, Two Brothers Roundhouse in Aurora, which is where they had their second date.  The happily married couple now lives in a Western suburb of Chicago, where they are the proud parents of an adorable bunny named Marten.
